Plaid with Stripes

Hi friends!
It is frosty cold here today!
We are back from Philadelphia, the race went great.
I'll post about that next week.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner.  I'm getting excited!
I so love the holidays.
I need to get myself into the spirit!

I've worn a couple of outfits with plaid as of late.
I even got myself a new plaid top so now I have three!
I haven't ventured into the plaid on bottom, but maybe soon.

I'm just realizing now I paired both of these plaid tops with large stripes.
I'm totally digging that... obviously enough to wear it!
I think the large stripe is fine with the plaid, and it adds more interest than a plain color.

I went with a boot cut jean for this look, and a heeled short boot, makes me taller, and feel thinner!

shirt: target
sweater: marshalls
jeans: downeast basics
boots: payless (old)

This next look I went with a skinny jean and riding boot.
And now the plaid is on the outside with the stripe inside!

both tops and jeans: old navy
boots: marshalls

Adding Fall to My Lightweight Dress

This is a fun fall dress I got last year.  Can you see the stripes?
It's cute, but lightweight.  I needed to fall it up a little... so I didn't have to hike the heat up... hubs doesn't like how that hikes the bill up! :)

I added leggings, a scarf, jacket and boots!
Yep, that will do!
Scarves help keep you so warm don't you think?

Plaid Mustard and Boobie Prison

Are we sensing that I love mustard?  That would be totally correct.

My kitchen was all mustard and a few months ago I wanted to paint it, but couldn't let go of that color, so now I have mustard stripes!
Sorry, that was random... but don't you LOVE it?

Anywho...
Tis fall, thus the plaid.  I only own 2 plaid shirts.  How about you any plaid?  I feel like I could add just a couple more plaid items to my collection.

Do you watch New Girl?  I recently started watching via Netflix and am on season 2 now!
Love that show!  When Jessica Day lost her job as a teacher she sat around in her jammies all day and glorified the fact that she didn't have to put her boobs into (bra) prison everyday!  I laughed... hilarious... boobie prison!

You know the great thing about being small breasted?  If I don't want to be imprisoned every day... I don't have to!  I just put on my camisole-like underwear so nothing flops around... because I have had 4 kids you know... and I'm set for the day!

This would be one of those days... I know... you can't tell the difference!
Hallelujah for little ladies!!
Happy Saturday!

Stripes, dots and leopard OH MY!

Doesn't that sound like 'The Wizard of Oz'?
That is what this look is today... a little bit of everything.  But it totally works!

In case you didn't know... Tuesday's I host a link up on my main blog Perspective } Inspire Me.
Check it out!  I'd love for you to join in.  I like to take things that you are wearing to inspire a look of my own!

Nothing is new here.  I got all of it last year I believe at +Marshalls .
Shoes are +Old Navy

That is One Hard Working Skirt...

Did you have a good weekend?
I was busy, not gonna lie!
My man is finally home and I can breathe again, well, not really... I'm totally suffering from post nasal drip and I sneeze on everything and my head hurts... but I'm always busy!  Stuff just doesn't let up... good thing I like to be busy!

I recently wore this little getup.
It really is casual.  This skirt is way comfy, pair it with a baggy tee, and you just can't go wrong!  Comfort and style... booya!

top: Hollister (bought at Marshalls)
skirt: Old Navy

Cute little gold-tipped ballet flats dress it up a little.

I made that necklace, yes indeed!  Those cute little lime green earrings were some Target clearance.  Love it!

So, I was thinking of what I wanted to wear with this skirt and I just wanted to show a couple more ideas I had...

Simply adding a chambray shirt, tucking the tee in, dresses this skirt up a little more.

You could also pair it with a little lace peplum and whala... a Sunday look!

Now that is a good little skirt right?  Giving you so many options!
Do you have one in your closet?  You should!

Black, White and Red

Did you all have a great weekend?
The sun has come out again, I'm so glad!
My man is in San Fran on a business trip... I'm a little blue.  Normally I feel I'm not really affected by his travels, this time I've gotta admit I miss him a bit more, plus I've got some photo shoots this week and I'll have to find sitters... I just like it when he's home much better!

Here is my outfit of the day...
I went with a classic color combo, but made it all casual with stripes.

I even wore striped shoes!  Do you love these?  How could you not?

everything came from Marshalls, the shoes are Roxy.

Have a fabulous day!

Little Red Shoes

Oh Steve Madden, you are so fabulous with shoe design!
And thank you for offering affordable shoes that are stinkin' adorable!
Do you love these little red guys?  My daughter has a matching pair!  Love!

How about some causal today?  It's Friday, I've got nowhere to be... except the grocery store, sighhhh.  Now if I only had nothing to do... I'd sit outside and craft or read, but alas I still have much to do!  Photos to edit, a scout hunt to plan, dust bunnies to be trapped in my vacuum, you know, the usual!
