Adding Fall to My Lightweight Dress

 This is a fun fall dress I got last year.  Can you see the stripes?

It's cute, but lightweight.  I needed to fall it up a little... so I didn't have to hike the heat up... hubs doesn't like how that hikes the bill up! :)

 

I added leggings, a scarf, jacket and boots!

Yep, that will do!

Scarves help keep you so warm don't you think?

 

 

 

 



What's New Review... Wine and Leopard

Good Morning!

This week it's cooling down outside... yea, time for sweaters and layers and boots oh my!

I can't believe Halloween is next week... still have some costume items to get for the kiddies... are you ready?  Do you dress up?

 The color and bits of leather are what caught my eye.

I paired this tee with my animal print pants.

I went with a boot to help keep me warm.

I rocked this cute jacket again!  I'm totally getting my $ worth on this purchase!

I ended up finding these adorable shoes while I was out that day... these both are great options... which do you like best, boot, flat or heel?

I'm totally excited about this find.  I've been looking for a little peep toe bootie

Sunday Style

Yea for Sunday's!

As you probably have come to know my style is quite casual.

I do love the excuse to dress up on Sunday's.

Today has been a beautiful day.  I've been uplifted and strengthened, I love going to church.

 

This is sort of a fun prairie-type dress.  On it's own it's not that cute!  I do love it has pockets though.

Last year I wore it with a belt and tall boots.  My cardi was longer too.  I'm the headless woman in these photos!

 

I kept the same necklace this year, lost the belt and shortened the cardi and boots.

Totally similar look.  I think I actually prefer last year's look.

What do you think?

 

PS, I'm totally going to teach you how to make that necklace over at Perpective... if you're the type that likes that sort of thing.

 



These Boots Were Made for Combat.

Well, not really.

This is the first time I've worn these new boots.  They were a recent new purchase.

I do have quite the collection of boots, but this is my inaugural wear for the fall.

As you can see, I busted out the leggings again... and I wore this yesterday... this is how I was feeling yesterday... not so pretty!
And apparently I need to clean this mirror!

I got everything at +Marshalls with the exception of the leggings, those are Target.

 

I'm sure I'll be able to find many things to wear these with!  Can't wait!

What is Black, White... and Leather...?

That would be me I guess!

Not too long ago my man and I celebrated 16 years of marriage.  I've yet to blog about it... mostly because like all things I get this great idea that takes 20 hours to put together instead of just writing about it!

Anyway... because he knows me well he got me a gift card to Marshalls... because I love that store!

 

I promptly went shopping!

At the end of my hunting I looked in my cart and everything was black and white... except my new workout wear, but that's to be expected.

This is crazy for me because I seldom wear black.  I love color!

Still, I went for it.

 

Here is what I added to my closet...

 

Oh no you didn't... oh yes I did!  Leather leggings... in the front, because my butt doesn't look good enough to don leather!  The back is regular spandex, hides more!

 

Leather is a must this fall.  So are classic prints.  I love this hounds tooth print top, can't wait to wear it!  I thought that little triangle guy was fabulous... I plan to wear it with the leather or some bold colored pants.

 

Do you love this jacket?  Oh my... love!  Leather AND black and white!

 

I have too many boots for one person, but I don't have a combat style boot.  Thank you Marshalls... these will do!
