Biker Chick... or Biker Chic?

I amuse myself!

Got this dress from Target, on clearance of course.  It is a sleeveless dress, I think it was summer clearance. 

No problem!  I paired it with my faux leather, studded jacket, also seen here, to keep me warm.

Fall Trend... Classic Prints

It's Sunday, the one day a week I get a bit more fancy!

One of the forecasted trends for fall is classic prints.  Have you seen them... everywhere?

 

I bought this top and showed it to you in this 'new to my closet' post...

Update on that... still haven't worn the leggings or triangle top and am just now wearing the hounds tooth... delayed gratification there!

I have already worn my combat boots several times as well as that jacket, can't get enough of it!

 

ANYway... Here is how I wore it...

I went with a wine colored, patterned skirt.  I belted it. 

I did struggle with my proportions on this skirt... not sure I got it right, but we move on!

 

Love these new peep toe shoes... I'm sure I'll wear them a ton this fall!

Ruffles, ruffles everywhere

Never underestimate the comfort of a shirt dress and leggings.

We know I'm a stay at home mom, and when I'm home I like to be comfy... but when I go out I want to look cute.  This look has both!

 

AND it's plaid!  How are you wearing your plaid right now?

 

I think this look is better with the olive jacket.

Too many ruffles... nah, never!

A little leather belt adds some shape and it has been warm here... haven't even worn boots all that much!  I'm glad, I have plenty of cute flats that need some wear time!

Sunday Style

Yea for Sunday's!

As you probably have come to know my style is quite casual.

I do love the excuse to dress up on Sunday's.

Today has been a beautiful day.  I've been uplifted and strengthened, I love going to church.

 

This is sort of a fun prairie-type dress.  On it's own it's not that cute!  I do love it has pockets though.

Last year I wore it with a belt and tall boots.  My cardi was longer too.  I'm the headless woman in these photos!

 

I kept the same necklace this year, lost the belt and shortened the cardi and boots.

Totally similar look.  I think I actually prefer last year's look.
