Fall Back to Classic

Happy Daylight savings!
Did you fall back last night?  I totally did, and I felt justified staying up late, because I get an extra hour today!

You just can't go wrong with the classics right?
black- check
leather- check
houndstooth- check
fabulous heels- check

I got some new hair!  I cut about 5-6 inches off too!
I feel like a new woman!  I've wanted to put some dark in for a while, but I'm still blond.  Love it!
Enjoy your Sunday!

Furrrrr-real!

I was inspired by the Fur and Wool Link up here at The Fashion Canvas.
Of course I didn't wear this in time to get it up for that link up, but still, I took some inspiration and went with it.

I bought this fur-ish jacket last year.
It reminds me more of like buffalo or wet dog hair, but I like it still!

This is what I started with and built from there...
I layered a lace tee under, for warmth, then added this tank dress.
I love the matte of the fur against the shine of the dress, contrast!

I'll admit I felt a little like a Viking wearing this, it's not so delicate, but sometimes you just gotta get back to your roots right?!

Some of my most very favorite shoes... Chinese Laundry.
Please don't look at my toes!  I finally repainted them!

I made the two necklaces, love to layer pearls.  You can find one of them here.
See, dog hair right?

I French twisted the front of my hair into a low pony, then split it into two pieces and knotted it over and again.  I put a pony holder in the end then pinned it all up.

New To My Closet... Camo!

Man, I am tired this morning!  I think my tempo run yesterday wiped me out!
I love that it's Friday!  I get to go out w/ my man tonight, yea!

Welcome to another edition of 'new to my closet'.
These items were added a few weeks ago... and I've only worn one item!
I do that... buy then don't wear for a while.

First up these fabulous wine colored, alligator skin heels.

Do you love these?  I so do!  Oh how I love shoes!

These nude heels are the only purchase in this post from Target.  Everything else I got at Burlington Coat Factory.  I don't often buy clothes there, but I have found endless deals on shoes there!
My first pair of camo pants.  I'm sure I'm one of the last to jump on this trend, but I think it will continue, so I went for it!  This is the item I've worn... I'll show you that today.

I bought this cute, lightweight sweater to wear with these pants, although that was not the first look I went with. Love it, lightweight, and a little surprise in the back!

Can you see the animal print?  It's sheer and a soft pink... fab!

Also following the 'have some leather' trend, this peplum.  Oh heart it!  It looks classy, can't wait to wear it!

Here is how I wore my camo pants...

I wore my fabulous Banana Republic sparkle shoes.  I love this color... I love these shoes!

Leather... at Church?

Hello pretties!
Today is Sunday... I love Sunday!
Sunday is our Sabbath day.  In our home it is a day that is different from other days.  We dress differently, we go to church, we engage in different activities, we spend time together as a family.  It is a day of rest and reverence... as much as we can with little kiddies running around!

I love dressing up to go to church!

Today, however is General Conference.  In the history of this restored gospel saints have met together biannually to listen to the words of the apostles and prophet.
And, today is that day!

So, today I'm in my comfy's, snuggled with my kids, listening...
Have you ever heard of this?  I invite you to listen... be uplifted, hear words of counsel... it doesn't even matter what faith you are... this is for everyone!  There have already been several sessions and there are two more today... pick one and listen... I'd love to know what you think!

Today I bring you a recent Sunday look... Is leather appropriate at church?

I found this amber skirt at Target.  I seriously find the best deals there, not all stores have the inventory mine does I guess!
I got this jacket this spring, also at Target... love it with this look!

I went with a high ponytail for some sass!

Going For It...

What the hey...
I'm going to separate these blogs out!
I'll still post my weekly favorite at Perspective, but I'm going to do my daily posts here!

What do you say, are you in?
Follow along, comment, let's be friends!

Here is my first look!  Yahoo!

This look from last week, date night, oh ya, gettin' perty!

You know, one of these days we are going to put up closet doors and you're not going to be able to see into my tiny closet anymore, does that make you sad?

No really, last night Matt totally agreed to getting that done for me... we'll see if it takes him as long to get a project done as it takes me!!!
